Our Chapter History

The first meeting of the Canyon Chapter was on January 9, 1998 and on October 14, 1999 we were approved as a chartered chapter.

In that time our membership has grown to include six grade levels of Ticktockers who serve our local philanthropies along with their mothers.

Our membership lives in South Orange County and includes the communities of Coto de Caza, Trabuco Canyon, Rancho Santa Margarita, Ladera Ranch, Las Flores, Mission Viejo and others.

In 2014-2015, the philanthropy hours volunteered by our mothers and daughters in the NCL, Inc. Canyon Chapter amount to more than 9600 hours.

We currently serve 19 philanthropies in the area: The Arthritis Foundation, Bell Tower Foundation-City of Rancho Santa Margarita,  RSM Boys & Girls Club, Friends of Dorothy Day, Friends of RSM Library, Jessie Rees Foundation – NEGU, Kisko/Park Terrace Senior Center, Laura’s House, Mission Hospital Foundation, Orange County Harbors, Beaches & Parks, Operation Help A Hero, Petal Pushers, Pretend City Children’s Museum, Ronald McDonald House Charities at Mission Hospital, San Francisco Solano Food Bank, South County Services, Mission Viejo (Age Well Senior Services)and Rancho Santa Margarita (Age Well Senior Services), Special Olympics Southern California, Orange County, Susan G.
